Any updates on the R1 platform after retooling?

It'd be way better to have a charger in the front. That way you could use Tesla Superchargers and charge while towing.

And while we're wishing, I'd love to have that new R2 steering wheel in my R1.

I don't think there would be any changes to the R1S/T platforms. Retooling is like an upgrade for production efficiency in terms of speed and accuracy improvement of the manufacturing process. They are only seeking a way to reduce costs.

I found on Google that The retooling has led to a 30% increase in the R1 production line speed, allowing Rivian to reduce from three shifts to two while aiming to produce approximately 56,000 units in 2024. I didn't find anything if they reached the number of units, but at least we know the retooling had a positive effect.

Yeah, I'm curious too! I've heard some rumblings about potential tweaks, but nothing concrete. It's mostly speculation at this point. I'd definitely check the Rivian forums and online communiteis. I've found those are usualy the best places for insider info
