R1T: Unwarranted Range Drain and Phone App Woes

My R1T has some annoying range drain, especially when I have it parked in my carport. I lost almost 8 miles of range yesterday simply by sitting there, even if the temperature was modest. According to Rivian support, the battery may be being depleted by using the phone app to check the range. This may seem counterintuitive, but it's something to think about.

I'm considering moving to a physical key in order to prevent needless range loss. Does anybody else have such problems with their R1T or other EVs? Any advice on how to maximise the use of phone apps while maintaining range?

I don't think checking the range would take so much out of the range. That's crazy! But yeah, switch to a physical key. Hopefully, the situation would look different.
