I got my R1T without a spare tire, and now I’m looking to get one. I have the 21" tires right now, but I’m torn on what to do next and could use some advice.

Should I stick with the 21" setup and grab a matching spare, or is it worth switching to 22" tires and getting a spare for those instead?
If I switch to 22", would it make sense to run the 21" tires until they wear out first?
Are there any solid spare options (including the rim) for the 21" tires that won’t break the bank but are still reliable?
If anyone’s been through this or has tips, I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts.

I started with 22-inch wheels, but they were too rough. I switched to 21-inch wheels, and the ride is much smoother and quieter. I even measured the noise, and it's way better. I had to get a spare tire online, and Rivian wouldn't sell me the stuff to mount it, so I had to figure it out myself. I should have just gotten the spare from them in the first place. The only problem is that you can only get Pirelli tires, and they don't last very long.

I agree with @Lito84. My friend and I tested both the 21” and 22” on his car, and we both prefer the 21”. By the end of the day, wheel size is definitely a matter of taste. Some people love the look of big wheels and say they improve handling. Others find them too big and uncomfortable. I think a moderate size is best for me. I haven't seen many people who actually prefer smaller wheels.
