Had a bit of a scare moment with my R1T recently. Got stuck in the snow on a dirt road, even though I’ve driven my wife’s Tesla (rocking Michelin cross climate tires, mind you) on that exact same road without any issues.

Tried switching through all the drive modes, but the R1T just couldn’t get any traction. Starting to wonder if the lack of a limited-slip differential is making it struggle in slippery conditions. What do you guy’s think?

Got any tips for better traction on icy roads?

Haha, noted! I’ll add a sack of sand to my list. But seriously, what do you think about that LSD thing? You think it’s really a big deal in these conditions?

If you're not already on winter tires, that could be a game-changer. The stock tires on the R1T are all-terrains but not great for snow-packed roads. Snow mode helps, but a set of studded or dedicated winter tires could give you the traction you’re missing.
