I’ve successfully loaded a Vespa GTS 250, Honda Monkey, and even a Triumph Scrambler into my truck’s bed using two Amazon midrange aluminum ramps. The gooseneck tailgate allows for standard-sized bikes, but a long Harley might need to go diagonally. The Vespa’s tail had to hang out with the tailgate down. Pretty impressed with how much fits!

That’s impressive versatility for your truck.. How do you secure the bikes during transport, especially with the tailgate down? Do you use additional straps or any special setup to keep them stable on longer trips?

Did you use any extra straps to keep the Vespa secure when the tailgate was down? And how are those aluminum ramps holding up? I'm thinking about getting something similar, so any tips for loading and unloading, especially with something heavier like a Triumph Scrambler, would be awesome!

Thanks! I use additional tie-down straps on the handlebars and frame to secure the bikes, making sure everything’s stable, even with the tailgate down.

Yes, I used extra straps to secure the Vespa when the tailgate was down, focusing on the frame. The aluminum ramps are holding up great! For the Triumph Scrambler, I recommend taking it slow when loading and unloading, having a helper can make a big difference for stability.
